Where is netBlazr located?
We are based in Boston, offering wireless broadband throughout the Back Bay, South End, Symphony, Newmarket and Fenway neighborhoods. Our headquarters are in Watertown, MA.
What is the setup cost?
The typical equipment installation is $199.95. It can vary for multi-units buildings and for business installs.
How long does the typical installation take?
The typical installation process takes a couple hours.
How big is the antenna/ radio?
The radios are typically 13-inch diameter dishes or 2″x3″x12″ rectangular antennas mounted to a pole or structure on your roof, per this diagram. See examples of current installations.
How quickly can netBlazr activate my service?
Once you’ve been qualified over the phone, netBlazr will meet with you to conduct a “site survey” of your location (rooftop, wire-run, and termination point in your home. That information will be shared with our installers, who will come out a second time and install everything. From initial phone call we can typically install someone within 2 weeks based on their availability. Please fill out the webform to the right so that we can check availability for you.
What speeds do you offer?
Our Standard Plan is up to 15 Mbps for $39.95 a month and our Premium Plan is up to 45 Mbps for $69.95 a month. All our services are symmetrical, so you get the same fast upload speed as download.
Which plan is best for me?
Standard Plan: This speed is great for 1-2 users who are interested in checking email, streaming movies/ music, browsing the web and downloading large photos.
Premium Plan: This speed is ideal for multiple users who are involved with intensive gaming, streaming HD movies, SOHO, Cloud data backup or small business needs.
How do I pay for netBlazr service?
netBlazr will charge your credit card each month automatically and send you a paid receipt via email.
Are there any restrictions on netBlazr placing an antenna on my roof?
No. The FCC’s Over-the-Air Reception Device Rule bans “restrictions that impair the installation, maintenance or use of antennas used to receive video programming.” The FCC has since extended it to protect the right of renters to set up antennas within areas they control, such as balconies or porches, and to cover wireless-broadband receivers, like the ones used by netBlazr.
Is my apartment in range?
netBlazr has just launched its residential service in the South End and Back Bay. But our coverage footprint is expanding continuously as we add more customers. Please complete the sign-up form on the right side of this page with your address so we can check to see if you qualify for service.
How long has netBlazr been in business?
netBlazr was founded in 2010, serving Boston’s business community as an alternative to the broadband giants. We have since created a residential option available to select Boston neighborhoods. We plan to expand throughout the city.
Where does your Internet come from?
netBlazr contracts with Cogent Communications for high bandwidth optical circuits, which we distribute via our low-cost wireless network throughout Boston.
Will the price change monthly and are there any hidden fees/ taxes?
Unlike Comcast, we don’t promote “teaser rates,” which go up every few months. netBlazr has no hidden fees, contracts or termination fees. You pay the same rate per month, every month.
What do I do if my netBlazr service goes down?

How do I setup my home network for netBlazr service?
Connect netBlazr to the WAN/Internet port of your wireless router. A standard setup looks like this:
