In an attempt to open up a new market of rural consumers and those dissatisfied with DSL speeds, Dish is partnering with ViaSat to provide broadband speeds that are faster than current DSL speeds via satellite.
This is not only great news because it will help expand the marketplace, but also introduces a much-needed potential large player in the broadband space. With it’s competitive pricing, this could be the engine that leads American broadband providers to provide better speed at lower prices.
We congratulate Dish on its move to break up the American broadband duopoly.
