US Senator Scott Brown Visits netBlazr

US Senator Scott Brown recently visited the netBlazr office, discussing Crowdfunding for startups.  The bill for Crowdfunding, states that individuals can invest up to $1,000 in a company, and allows companies to raise up to $1 million per year.  As of right now, only investors who are “accredited” can put money into startup companies.  When Brown originally passed the bill, the vote was 407-17.  Another positive aspect of crowdfunding is it will not interfere with other sources, such as angel investing and venture capital.  Overall the visit was very informative and successful, as Brown stated, “Crowdfunding is a new source of capital, like extra money.”
